Who I Am
I'm Gunther - a freelance web developer who helps small businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives get online without the headaches that usually come with it.
I build websites using WordPress, Shopify, and custom code, depending on what makes the most sense for your project. My goal is pretty simple: give you a site that looks good, works well, and doesn't require a computer science degree to manage.
How I Work
Direct communication. You email me, I respond. No support tickets, no chatbots, no account managers standing between us. When you work with me, you're working with the person who actually builds your site.
Clear pricing. I give you a quote before we start. No hourly billing surprises, no "that's going to be extra" halfway through. If the scope changes, we talk about it first.
I stick around. Your website doesn't stop needing attention after launch. Content changes, updates, fixes - I'm here for the long haul, not just the initial build.
What I Believe About Websites
A website doesn't need to be complicated to be effective. It needs to load fast, look professional, work on phones, and make it easy for your customers to do what they came to do - whether that's buying a product, booking a service, or getting in touch.
I don't use cookie-cutter templates and call it custom. I don't install 40 plugins to do the job of 3. I don't build sites that take 10 seconds to load because they're stuffed with animations nobody asked for.
I build websites that work.
Why Hire a Freelancer?
Working with a solo developer isn't for everyone, and I'm upfront about that. If you're a Fortune 500 company that needs a team of 20 developers, I'm not your guy. But if you're a small business owner, a solo entrepreneur, or someone with a side project who just needs a solid website - this is exactly what I do.
